Boats for Bantayan Island
The Little Swallow’s first project for the year 2014 is to provide boats for those affected by Typhoon Yolanda (or Typhoon Haiyan) in Bantayan Island last 2013. This was made possible together with the help of other donors and through the Back-To-The-Sea project organized by other private organization. This will provide livelihood and ongoing income instead of just relying on the relief goods from the other organizations.
As the Chinese proverb goes:
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life"
